Hair coloring trends: what is current this season

Which techniques and shades are in fashion now — and why trendy does not always mean right for you.

Clients often ask: “What is in fashion now?” — and I always want to answer honestly: trendy does not always mean “right for you”. But knowing the trends is useful — it is a starting point for a consultation.

Recent seasons have held onto a natural look: balayage, shatush and airtouch stay popular because they give the effect of “expensive, well-kept hair”, not “just dyed”. Harsh, high-contrast highlights are stepping back in favor of soft color transitions.

In shades, warmth is back: caramel, hazelnut and honey tones are overtaking the cool ash blonde that peaked a few seasons ago. Cool shades are not gone — they still look great on certain color types, especially with bronding.

Another steady trend is gentle color care: clients more often choose techniques that are kinder to hair structure, even if that means a longer path to the result in several steps.

Main advice: do not chase a trend head-on — come for a consultation, and we will discuss which version of a fashionable technique will look good on your hair, face shape and color type.
